Photographer Nina Pomeroy Launches Her Words, Her Light — A Portrait and Storytelling Project Honoring Women’s Voices
Pleasanton, CA – September 5, 2025 — Professional photographer Nina Pomeroy today announced the launch of Her Words, Her Light, a new portrait and storytelling project dedicated to amplifying women’s voices through authentic imagery and honest conversation.
The project combines documentary-style portraiture with unscripted interviews, creating an archive of women’s stories that reflect vulnerability, resilience, and strength. “When a woman shares her truth, she gives others the courage to be seen,” said Pomeroy. “This project is about creating connection and community through real stories—not perfection.”
Her Words, Her Light was inspired by the women who shaped Pomeroy’s life—her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—and is designed to celebrate women of all ages and backgrounds.
Participation is free and includes:
- A portrait session in Pomeroy’s Pleasanton studio
- A guided conversation, recorded and preserved
- Inclusion in the Her Words, Her Light archive, with opportunities for future exhibition and publication
