Zone 7 Flood Management Plan (FMP)

Zone 7 Flood Management Plan (FMP)

Changes in climate, land use, and population have led to a higher potential flooding within the Zone 7 service area. In any given year, the likelihood that flows in Zone 7’s flood protection system will overtop increases, causing potential impacts to people and property. To address current and future flood risks in the Tri-Valley area, Zone 7 is developing a comprehensive Flood Management Plan (FMP). This high-level strategy aims to improve flood protection and reduce flood risks for our communities and the environment.

How does the FMP benefit my community?

  • Reduced flood risk for people, property, and critical facilities
  • Better understanding of current and future flood risk
  • Improved operations and maintenance of the flood protection system
  • Financially sustainable long-term blueprint

Each meeting will be held in an open-house format where you can view displays, talk with team members, and provide input on the FMP.

Your participation and insights are invaluable in shaping direction of the FMP and the future of flood risk management in our region. Mark your calendars to join us at one of our meetings!
