Alameda County Fair Board Seeks to Fill Two Open Seats
Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association Search for Qualified Candidates
Pleasanton, Calif. – The Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association’s Board (Fair Board) is accepting applicants to fill two open seats. Applications must be submitted by September 27, 2025.
The Alameda County Board of Supervisors appoints 10 members: the Fair Board elects 11 members. Board Members serve 4-year terms and must commit to participating in monthly Board Meetings and various committee meetings.
Qualified candidates will provide leadership to ensure long-term success of the Association. Interested applicants who wish to serve on the Fair Board, a private 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, should submit to the CEO’s office by September 27, 2025:
- Letter of Interest - expressing intent to serve on the Fair board, including a stated commitment to maximize participation on the Board and committees. The letter should also clearly state what skills and assets the candidates will bring to the Board.
- Resumé - candidates will submit a current resumé.
- Completed “Candidate Information Form” - including information such as but not limited to: experience serving on Boards of Directors, community leadership and service, educational background, professional skills and licenses, volunteer or business relationships with the Association, etc.
- Submissions can be made electronically by filling in the online application and uploading items a and b; OR items a, b and c may be printed and submitted by mailing directly to Alameda County Fairgrounds at 4501 Pleasanton Ave. Pleasanton, CA 94566.
Election to the Board of Directors is limited to community members who permanently reside in Alameda County. The Board shall give special consideration to:
- Special expertise needed
- Geographic area of representation within the County
- The diversity of the County and its representation within the Association Board membership.
