James Gulseth was born and attended high school in Devils Lake, North Dakota and graduated with an A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jim earned his JD at the University of California Hastings School of Law, and is admitted to practice in the State of California and before the Federal District Court, Northern District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Jim is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association, and a member and past President of the Eastern Alameda County Bar Association.
Jim is a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Pleasanton and the Rotary Club of Pleasanton Foundation. He is also a founder and past member of the Board of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation, a founder and past officer of the Advisory Committee for Pleasanton Partnerships in Education, a member of the Board of the Museum on Main, and a founding officer and director of Pleasanton Heat, a track and field club.
