Melanie Henry is the founder and CEO of Driver Cognitive Assessment Center, LLC, and the owner-operator of Turn Signal Driving School. A Licensed Driving Instructor and Driver Rehabilitation Professional, she also holds specialized certifications in autism and neurodiversity. She teaches drivers of all ages, including teens and young adults with autism, ADHD, learning differences, or anxiety, as well as medically at-risk and older adult drivers.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, Melanie brings decades of experience in social welfare, risk assessment, and child protection. Her move to the U.S. shaped her supportive, individualized teaching style, and her work in senior transportation led to the creation of DCAC to provide objective cognitive driver assessments.
She is a co-author of two best-selling NAIPC books, a frequent Bay Area speaker on driving readiness and aging and driving, and a volunteer CarFit Event Coordinator and technician.
