The Tradeshow Mixers are held two times a year and replace our monthly mixer. The Tradeshow Mixers are open to everyone in the community and represent a great opportunity to network with local businesses in a fun and interactive setting.

May 18    Family Caregiver Education: Exploring Legal and Financial Issues
When facing the incapacity of a loved one, reliance on professionals will ensure that families receive the most accurate information about options and protection. To help family caregivers navigate common questions, Hope Hospice presents Exploring Legal and Financial Issues on Saturday, May 18, from 9:45 a.m. to noon, at the Hope Hospice office located at 6377 Clark Avenue in Dublin. Find the group in the second floor conference room. There is no cost to attend, but preregistration is requested. In this class, Cynthia Thorp, Esq., a local elder law specialist, will share information about establishing powers of attorney, guardianships, and conservatorships; trusts and wills; paying for long-term care and accessing government assistance programs; examining elder abuse and fraud; and implementing advance health care directives. Any community member engaged in the role of family caregiver or expecting to soon become a caregiver is invited to attend. Hope Hospice’s Family Caregiver Education Series is a set of 14 classes designed to provide training, education, support, and resources for those caring for loved ones with chronic or disabling conditions. May 25    Swing into Spring Fling
It's time to dust off those dancing shoes! Let's Swing into Spring Fling and dance the night away on May 25, 2019, at Ehrenberg Cellars. Diana Lopez and company will provide swing dance lessons for everyone at any level. Two Swing Dance Lessons: First Class 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm, Second Class: 8:15 pm - 9:00 pm. The dance party continues until 11:00 pm. Space may be limited for each class. Award-winning wines from all three wineries will be available by the glass and bottle purchases. 2 Drink (glasses of wine) minimum required. There will be small bites around the winery. May 28    Family Caregiver Education: Dementia Basics
Hope Hospice and Home Health presents a 4-part dementia education series targeted to family caregivers, available year-round at no cost, even for persons who do not have a family member as one of our patients. Topics rotate each month and repeat three times per year. On Tuesday, May 28, the topic is: Dementia Basics. Class runs 1 to 2:30 p.m. at our corporate office, 6377 Clark Avenue, Suite 100, Dublin 94568. *Note: the Dementia series generally takes place on Mondays, but this class is on a Tuesday due to the Memorial Day holiday. This class explores the various diseases and conditions that may produce dementia symptoms. There is an emphasis on the stages of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, as well as a discussion of eight essential brain abilities and how each is impacted by dementia.
