Event Description VIEW EVENT FLYER

Join us at the Doubletree by Hilton for the annual State of the City address and hear first-hand what’s foremost on the mind of Mayor Jerry Thorne as he prepares to run for his fourth and final possible two-year term in the City’s highest elected office before terming out.  Will he talk about growing pressure from the State of California to build more housing; former Council member Matt Sullivan’s legal challenge against Costco after his recent failed attempt to gather enough signatures for a referendum; the future of downtown and the potential for a new library and civic center?
